How we use your personal data (Legal basis for processing)
Weaver Dane takes your privacy very seriously and will never disclosure, share or sell your data without your consent, unless required to do so by law. We only retain your data for as long as is necessary and for the purposes specified in this notice. Where you have consented to us providing you with promotional offers and marketing, you are free to withdraw consent at any time. The
purposes and reasons for processing your personal data are detailed below: –
- We collect your personal data in the performance of a contract or to provide a service and to ensure that orders are completed and can be sent out to your preferred address
- Where payment is made by credit card, we collect your personal data to share with Global Payments – Realex Payments Holding Ltd for processing in the performance of a contract or to provide a service. We do not retain this information.
- We collect and store your personal data as part of our legal obligation for business accounting and tax purposes
- If you are an existing customer, we may from time to time contact you with information about similar products
- If you have signed up for our newsletter, we will send you occasional marketing emails. You will be able to opt out of this service at any time.
- When someone visits www.weaverdane.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. - When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. - If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Weaver Dane takes your privacy seriously and we take every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure your personal data. Consequences of Not Providing Your Data
You are not obligated to provide your personal information to Weaver Dane, however as this information is required for us to provide you with our services and deliver your products, we will not be able to offer some/all of our products or services without it.
How Long We Keep Your Data
Weaver Dane only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary and we have strict review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations. We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed.
Where you have consented to us using your details for direct marketing, we will keep such data until you notify us otherwise and/or withdraw your consent.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
